Event Description:
With Uranus about to ingress into Gemini, there will soon be so many planets in the early degrees of the zodiac that a rare aspect pattern — a minor grand trine — will form in the cosmos. It will be operative within a 2-degree orb for 45 weeks, revealing a “hack” as we navigate the chaos of 2025 amidst all the outer planet changes.

In this talk, Anne Ortelee will first explore how the minor grand trine configuration enhances a trine in natal astrology. Sometimes, the talents indicated by trines can lay latent or remain underdeveloped. Taking the trine’s talent for granted, we can become complacent. Following the path of least resistance, we can risk not answering the call to fully develop a trine’s talent with blood, sweat and tears. The minor grand trine is exceptional because two complimentary sextiles bestow a mental resolve to charge ahead in the arduous process of cultivating the trine, so that it can blossom.

In 2025–2026, this minor grand trine will be activating all of our charts by transit. Although individuals with points and planets at the anorectic 29th degree, as well as the first few degrees of the zodiac will be particularly activated by this configuration, even that rare individual who does not have a single planet or point within these degrees can work with this concept of the minor grand trine to optimize their response to the major outer planet changes.

In the next year, the minor grand trine will present a unique synergy to activate the air trine that is forming between Pluto in the early degrees of Aquarius and Uranus in the early degrees of Gemini. Air trines are generally associated with observing cause and effect to formulate new ideas based upon objectivity. Tierney observed that this midpoint planet suggests the nature of events that jolt us out of complacency, forcing us to become more conscious and demanding us to harness the trine’s underdeveloped talents in moments of crisis. In this way, the question might become how we can honor the deeper meanings of 2025’s upsetting situations connected Saturn and Neptune in Aries as motivation to develop our latent talents?

Bruno and Louise Huber observed that love and joy as the keys to unlocking the minor grand trine, drawing upon the connection between Venus and the sextile.
