Join us this month for a lively discussion on a book The Times described as "the most exciting development in spy fiction since the Cold War".

Now a popular TV series starring Gary Oldman, Slow Horses by Mick Herron kicked off his Slough House series of spy thrillers, named for the drab and mildewed office where disgraced spies are banished to see out the rest of their derailed careers. Known as the 'slow horses', these misfits have committed crimes of drugs and drunkenness, lechery and failure, politics and betrayal while on duty.

But when a boy is kidnapped and his beheading is scheduled for live broadcast on the net, whatever the instructions of their masters at the Intelligence Service headquarters, the slow horses aren't going to just sit quiet and watch.

You'll find us in the Station Tavern next to Cambridge Station (see directions under "How to find us"). Please bring along £1 per session (or £12 for the year) as a contribution to the annual Meetup fee.
