THE BIKE LANE - Adventures near and far for street bikes, in and around the greater Phx area.
(Sorry - we do NOT mountain bike).
Welcome bicycle enthusiasts! We're a Phx-Valley based adult group of fun loving 2-wheelers (yes, many of us have e-bikes!) that explore the parks, greenbelt and local bike trails of the Phoenix area, cool areas of Arizona, old West Rail-Trails, plus bike a European Boat & Bike adventure in Autumn.
No current bicycling experience needed.
We love fun. We are a very social group (no - it's not a race). Come pedal with us as we go adventuring near and far, and make active, positive, interesting friends with similar interests!
Life is too short to stay on the sofa - let's go exploring (on 2 wheels)!!

The NEW CRUISE I have arranged is a different deal.
Not better or worst – just different from a traditional Boat & Bike.

This is an all-inclusive river cruise, where you get an included day excursion every day, and in the off-time (morn or afternoon), we can take, if you want, one of the bikes that are on board to explore the village we are docked at on your own. Minimal biking – but YES they do have [regular hybrid] bikes on board (very few regular river cruise lines have bikes – it’s NOT common).

This is a GREAT river cruise for people that like to bike – but do not want to bike everyday, and want to also do other things. Like wine-tastings, castle visits, walking tours… in addition to optional biking.

Bike LOOP: from Hole in the Rock to Lou's!!!
Hole in the Rock, 625 N Galvin Pkwy, Phoenix, AZ, USBike the LOOP: from Hole in the Rock, thru Papago Park to Lou's!
3pm ready to pedal
Long scenic ride LOOP + pit stop at Lou's Grill (you'll ♥ this place) with live music!!This is by far our most scenic LOOP ride we do.
About 2 hour pedal (leisurely) with several stops.If you want to hike up to the Hole, come at 2:15 (optional). Photo Ops!!!
Pedal From Hole In The Rock
♦ We will pedal thru impressive Papago Park, skirting around the back side of the Phx Zoo and Botanical Gardens!
♦ We will head North up the Crosscut Canal, and then along the AZ Canal - then down the OLD Crosscut Canal Path (no water) thru the parks, and along McDowell on the sidewalk for 4 blocks.
Whewwww....
The reward will be Lou's... ahhhhhh : )
♦ A GREAT stop at Lou's Bar & Grill at Papago Park Golf Course, with live music on the greens. Great hidden gem.
♦ Once we leave Lou's - about 10 minutes back to our cars, and we cut thru Papago Park on the other side, to where we have parked by Hole In The Rock.14 miles.
We will make a giant loop. It's mostly all dedicated bike path, but we have several streets to cross (at lights), and 4 blocks to pedal on the sidewalk.MEET: At the Hole In The Rock parking lot (Papago Park, Tempe).
If you want to scamper up to the Hole beforehand, come early!!
Be ready to pedal at 3:00 SHARP. Don't be late.About Papago Park: found in the center of Phoenix, this 1,496 acre park features world-class natural attractions for biking, hiking, and rock rappelling, as well as the Papago Golf Course with Lou's Bar & Grill, famous Hole-In-The-Rock, Phoenix Zoo and the Desert Botanical Garden. Several dedicated bike trails wind through the park.
