2023 June 16 - 18 / Friday night and/or Saturday night (optional: and/or Sunday night, but Star Party will be over).

During the day:
Bring your BICYCLE!!
We will Bike some of the many great paths around the South Rim.
Shuttle Buses are available throughout the Park with bike racks!
(Pedal one-way)
We will have some organized rides!
We will Walk the Million Year Trail to El Tovar, and then have Happy Hour on the patio overlooking the Rim!
We will Visit some of the Visitor Centers (drive or bike)!
You can also Explore the Canyon Rim Trail by Hop On – Hop Off bus.
Hear the Ranger Talks – very interesting!!

At night:
STAR PARTY! BIG Astronomy Event. Bring a red flashlight!!
Trailer Trash Happy Hour - Campfire and Sing-A-Long Hootenanny at Deborah’s camp site at Mathers Campground - bring your guitar!

Where to stay:

> Mathers Campground: tent camping, sleep in your SUV or truck, bring your Pop-Up or RV (no electric here). PLZ indicate when you RSVP.

Group Camping Space:
We have 6 camp spots for 20 people all in one area together at Mathers Campground (on the South Rim) reserved for our group for the nights of Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday.
You can bring a tent, sleep in your SUV or the back of your truck, or bring a small camper, Pop-Up or small RV/Motorhome.

Mathers Campground: We have room for
10 tents / up to 20 people
$10 per person per night - no electric (Plz pay Deborah - see below)
There are Bathrooms and Showers

Bike Trails & the STAR PARTY evening events are free!
(other than paying the park entrance fee of $30 per vehicle, good for 7 days of coming and going to either rim.)

Friday & Saturday STAR PARTY evening events include a Night Sky presentation nightly at 8 pm (free), followed by dozens of telescopes outdoors available for viewing – plus meet with all the astronomers!
STAR PARTY Astronomy event is outdoors, behind Grand Canyon Visitor Center.
Park rangers offer constellation tours at 9, 9:30, and 10 pm.
