She will cover the logic that drives them, their technical implementations, and examples of how companies are using them today. She will also cover the theory behind them and the future possibilities of smart contract integration.

Speaker Bio:
Kate has a degree from York University in Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship as well as a degree in English Literature and Professional Writing from Concordia University. She has a background in cybersecurity and has been developing on the Ethereum blockchain for the past 3 years. Kate founded the Concordia University Blockchain Club and is a community organizer for Blockchain Developers United, a monthly developer meetup focusing on hands-on training and education. She has also worked extensively in the nonprofit world, focusing on creating sustainable community-based projects in developing and post-conflict economies. Currently, Kate is developing an offline cryptocurrency payment remittance system.
