Self-Sovereign Identity

How can I add identity and verifiable credentials to my blockchain (DeFi) project? This workshop will provide an overview of SSI and a quick demonstration of how you can add an SSI agent to your project. Does your project need KYC, AML, and ATF abilities?

Speaker Bio:

DaveMcKay is a blockchain instructor with the George Brown College Blockchain Development Program. For the program, he is teaching the Design Patterns for Ethereum, Building Apps with Hyperledger Fabric and Capstone Project courses. Dave is also currently the CTO at Northern Block and the Technical Lead at the Ryerson Cybersecurity Research Lab. Dave has over 35 years of software development management, with past roles as Vice-President at VitalHub, TransGamming and New Media Architects, IT Director at CATIE and Senior Developer at ATI, Symantec and Delrina. Dave is involved with the commercialization of self-sovereign identity in Canada. He is currently the Co-chair of the Innovation Experts Committee of the Digital Identity and Authentication Council of Canada and has just launched the not-for-profit Canadian Credential Network.
