Emma Todd is CEO of Data Systems. She is Chair of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium’s Mining Committee, a board member of the Canadian Blockchain Consortium, and Chair for Girls In Tech. Emma achieved a significant milestone by joining the board of Tokens.com and TrustBix which makes Emma top 3% of women of colour that currently sit on two publicly traded boards in Canada. She is also past Chair and Executive Board Member of Blockchain for Impact, which works alongside the United Nations.
As a seasoned speaker, Emma has spoken on a panel at Parliament in Ottawa, Canada, the United Nations Headquarters, and shared the stage with various heads of state, U.N. Ambassadors, Al Gore, Edward Snowden, and members of the U.S. Congress, and more.
Emma was also awarded one of the Top 100 Black Women to watch in Canada, she has been named one of 2019’s Top 100 Influencers for Sustainable Development Goals, among others.
Kunal Bhasin is the Director and Co-Leader of KPMG Canada’s Cryptoassets and Blockchain CoE. He possesses over 10 years of experience conducting and leading compliance and risk assessments, and technology audits for crypto, fintech, TradFi, and technology sectors.
He has been involved in the crypto and blockchain space since 2015 and has been with KPMG since 2018 where he was tasked to build the Crypto & Blockchain Advisory practice. He led the firm’s strategy for its products and services related to cryptoassets, and recently led the firm’s crypto treasury and NFT initiatives.
Kunal continues to work with the community, regulators, as well as financial services and institutional investors in both traditional finance and crypto space globally for promoting and enabling the institutionalization of cryptoassets while managing the risks in the space.
Marcel Kasumovich has more than twenty-five years of experience in financial markets including work at the Bank of Canada, the IMF, Goldman Sachs, as well as senior leadership roles in hedge funds including Soros Fund Management, Woodbine Capital and Tse Capital.
Marcel joined One River Digital in 2021 as the senior member charged with building out digital investment strategies. He has been engaged in cryptocurrencies since 2012 as part of Pure Macro Capital Advisors which he founded to house various start-up investment and advisory interests. Marcel has published research ranging from academic journals to op-eds.
