[Beginners] Plein Air Sketching by the Seaside (Repulse Bay)

Plein Air Sketching means ‘Sketching Outdoor’

In plein air sketching, we are exposed to an outdoor environment which we have little control on. We are forced to respond quickly to capture a bold impression through our arts media. It is an intuitive and all-rounded sensory experience - be observant of everything, light, sound, motion… We hope to introduce our participants to this new lens of appreciation to our city.

Beginners who want to have a taste in plein air sketching are welcome! Both adults and kids can join us!

The event organizer Ivan is happy to provide sketching support, including technical skills and simple arts supplies. He hopes to introduce plein air sketching and share the joy with other creative minds.

[Workshop Details]
1. Gathering Point

• Repulse Bay. Exact location will be confirmed in event chat.
• Gathering time is 4pm and we hope to sketch during golden hours.

2. Sketching Session (~1 hour)

• Please bring your own sketchbook and arts supplies. If you don't have any, please message us before RSVP closing time. The event organizer would prepare some simple arts supplies and paper for you.
• In case of mild rain, we will sketch in a covered area. In case of adverse weather, the workshop will be canceled (see notes below).

3. Sharing Session (~30 minutes)

• Please come punctually as the workshops will start on time
• We would contact you by message as you reply the 'Yes' in RSVP. Please pay the workshop fee by RSVP end time to confirm your place.
• If we do not hear from you, please note all RSVPs made without full payment will be removed without further notices.
• The workshop will be canceled if a Typhoon Signal No. 1 or above, or Amber / Red / Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted within three hours before the start of the event. We will arrange rescheduling for the programme.
