Our topic for this month is The History of Russia-Ukraine relations: from shared past to ongoing war.

Our guest for this Month, Yakov Grinshpun, is the Author of A Man of Two Superpowers and Selling is Persuading. Yakov was born in the Soviet Union, in what is now part of Ukraine.

Yacov will share with us his experience with the Communist Party and the KGB. Russia and Ukraine shared historical roots and identity, but later developed into separate nations.

However, tensions grew between the two countries: in 2022, Russia took control of Crimea. In 2022, Russia launched a full invasion of Ukraine.
