The party is investigating the connection between shipwrecks in Lake Superior, the Collins family, and the Goodman family. There is word of a curse, and word of an ancient payment. Players and characters are: Di is playing Gwen Whitehall—a nonconformist recluse and dreamer (and all-around scholar), Stephanie is playing Grace Goodman—a mystical artist and professor, Russell is playing Bryce Forthworth—a private investigator, James is playing Charles Merrick—a modern-day wizard, Alex is playing Frederick Stockbridge—a ghost hunter, Cathy is playing Sheila Fairville—an accountant, and Jake is playing Brian Hughes—a bookstore owner.
