Securing AWS: A deep dive into Native, Open Source and 3rd Party CSPM Tooling

Join us for another hybrid event on Thursday, March 14 for a deep dive into AWS security with experts from JetSweep, AWS, and Wiz. In this session, three featured experts will compare AWS native CPSM features, open-source CPSM tools, and a commercial CPSM tool from Wiz.

If you are attending in person your meetup name must match your government issued ID or AWS Security can not let you in.

We also discuss how to create a "vulnerable by design" AWS account so that you can increase your security skills by starting with a very insecure environment and learning how to remediate security vulnerabilities. All tools will be evaluated by the number of findings they create against our known vulnerable environment.

Dan Anderson is a Principal Solutions Engineer, Global Channel & Alliances for WIZ. He is responsible for supporting and enabling Cloud Service Provider partners, Global System Integrators, as well as National and regional partners of WIZ. Dan’s over 30 Years of experience in technology has resulted in an extensive background in systems integration, virtualization, and cloud computing. Currently a focused subject matter expert in cloud and infrastructure visibility and governance. Starting with United States Air Force to founding and running a successful cloud consulting company to now working with his 3rd startup as a technical contributor and evangelist. Outside of work he enjoys riding his motorcycle, camping, and working on projects around the house.

Guy Loewy is an AWS Senior Solutions Architect for the past 3.5 years serving primarily Massachusetts companies. He is responsible for assisting customers in aligning their business goals with AWS Services and solutions. Guy has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur working with small to medium size companies servicing in both CTO and engineering management capacities. Currently, Guy’s main interest is around Serverless, Web3, and GenAI.”
