Three (Cool Cats) - Viewing of One to One Film

I saw a film, oh boy....

Let's gather to watch and discuss the film "One to One: John & Yoko"!

The film turns back the clock to the early 1970s and a benefit gig that occurred around the time of Lennon’s deportation battle with Nixon and his Lost Weekend. It also pits this concert against the maelstrom of the US political scene, with a channel-surfing aesthetic that skips from car and Coke commercials to the Attica prison riot and the near-fatal shooting of Alabama governor George Wallace. The film will be playing at the Coolidge Corner in Brookline. (https://coolidge.org/films/one-one-john-yoko) They have not yet posted the showtimes for 19 April, but I'm presuming there will be an evening showing. Hence, this start time is approximate, and I will provide an update to this post on Tuesday, 15 April with the listed showtime.

Tickets will be purchased individually. We can meet beforehand for some quick intros, but will also plan to gather afterward for a drink and discussion at a nearby establishment. Looking at Grainne O'Malley's or Coolidge Clubhouse, both within a five-minute walk of the theater, but open to other suggestions.
