All meetup venues we currently use require us to provide a list of names (First & Last) to their door security so they can check people in at the time of the event. We are also required to bring "a picture ID" that matches the name we provide at the time of registration. Please be mindful of this requirement and provide the necessary information to ensure a smooth check in process at the door. Thank you for your cooperation - the management!

Talk #1 - Debunking the Myths: AI in Security Operations by Clayton Barlow-Wilcox & Peter Prizio
Description - In today's digital world, AI's role in cybersecurity is often misunderstood. This talk debunks common myths—like AI replacing humans or being hack-proof—and examines real AI uses, highlighting its benefits and drawbacks in security. We'll also tackle AI's ethical concerns, ensuring attendees understand how to use AI effectively and responsibly in security strategies. Lastly, we’ll drive into a use case of how Generative AI can be predictive with threat detection.
Speaker - Peter Prizio is the CEO of SnapAttack and worked for nearly a decade engineering defense weapons systems and civilian citizen services, ultimately finding a home in early-stage cybersecurity technology companies. He is passionate about the need for collaboration and information sharing across organizations, industries, and public sectors as a backbone for proactive security and strives to bring new products to market to solve challenges associated with sharing.Clayton is COO for SnapAttack and has spent over 15 years leading cybersecurity and risk management teams at both large organizations and startups, advising executive leadership across government, healthcare, and financial sectors. He’s focused on leading client delivery and day-to-day operations for the company. Clayton is dedicated to using data and technology to help drive tangible change in cybersecurity.
