Important Notice

All meetup venues we currently use require us to provide a list of names (First & Last) to their door security so they can check people in at the time of the event. We are also required to bring "a picture ID" that matches the name we provide at the time of registration. Please be mindful of this requirement and provide the necessary information to ensure a smooth check in process at the door. Thank you for your cooperation - the management! Description - A framework for tabletop exercises using security controls frameworks and role playing games.

Talk#2 - Dependency Falsehoods and What that Means for Security by Nate Michalov

Description - There are common assumptions about how dependency management tools work in application development and how third party code interacts with code written in house. A lot of these assumptions fall apart under scrutiny, and the results is that third-party code and introduce a number of non-obvious risks and attack surfaces for modern software applications.

Speaker Bio - I'm a former developer and security engineer who's spent the last 8 years working in application security.
