Important Notice

All meetup venues we currently use require us to provide a list of names (First & Last) to their door security so they can check people in at the time of the event. We are also required to bring "a picture ID" that matches the name we provide at the time of registration. Please be mindful of this requirement and provide the necessary information to ensure a smooth check in process at the door. Thank you for your cooperation - the management!

Talk #1 - How AI has changed Penetration Testing by Mike Poublon

Description - With the advent of AI we’ll explain what this means for penetration testing, how it works, what it does (and doesn’t) do, how it’s different than some of the similar offerings, how it helps organizations, and what our actual experiences have been and how organizations are consuming this and what the feedback has been.

Talk#2 - I Think I’ve Solved Passwords? My Descent Into Authentication Madness by John Faria

Description - John has been a password security nerd for 10 years now. He’s spent a lot of time securing his own digital life, cracking password hashes, and attempting to design secure authentication methods. In this talk, John will be walking through the history and philosophy behind passwords, attempting to diagnose where we went wrong, and sharing his new solution to our modern digital infrastructure’s password madness.

Speaker Bio - John is a local hacker specializing in Incident Response and Risk Management. He hunts C2 servers in his free time and works at Moderna as an OT Security Engineer.
