West Vale and over Norland Moor 7.5 miles

Meet for 10.30 prompt set off from Stainland Road Medical Centre, 70 Stainland Road, Greetland Halifax HX4 8BD and park in the car park around the back. Approximately 7.5 miles. The walk takes us along Black Beck (which is fed by Scammonden Dam) working our way up to Norland Moor with a few steepish inclines with lunch stop at the trig point. We then follow the Calderdale Way back through North Dean Wood to Clay House, then along the Old Stainland Line and viaduct finishing off for a well earned drink at The Queen pub

We can't guarantee the finish time. The meetup system means we have to put a finish time on the event but it depends on the pace of the group on the day.
