Lumb Falls & Hardcastle Craggs 7 miles tbc

This is one I did in lockdown and is a good varied walk. Parking at the bowling club where they have an honesty box so please bring some change. The club is only open for private bookings so unfortunately won't be open
Starting with a drop down to Midgehole then a steady climb up past Hardcastle Crags and on to Lumb Falls which can get a little busy with swimmers in good weather. We then climb again to a steady walk across the top before dropping down past the Crags and Gibson Mill. Along the river for a while then across the stepping stones before climbing once again back into Heptonstall.
There maybe a couple of patches of mud and a couple of stiles which were fine with a husky. Dogs must be on a lead across the top as there are lots of sheep and lambs
We will call at The Cross Inn in the village for post walk refreshments before the short walk back to the car park
Don't worry about Unpaid by your name as we don't use that system. We just ask for £1 on the day.
