Our Seventeenth Birthday walk at Crossland Hill 6 miles.
Starting at The Sands House Blackmoorfoot Rd, Huddersfield HD4 7AE car park. Please car share if possible and park in the car park at the side of the pub not in the spaces at the front.
The first half of the walk is past the quarry and Crossland hill’s ‘stonehenge’ 😂 then down through Beaumont Park to the church at Armitage Bridge where we’ll stop for a drink and a snack maybe then its a gradual up hill along netherton edge and then a slightly steeper bit through dean clough back to the pub.
The pub have said they will do pie and peas and cheese pasty and beans for us. Price tbc soon so will take orders once we have a price.
Everyone's welcome including children who have good footwear and have walked in winter conditions before so it's unlikely to be a fast pace.
There will be mud in some places but it wasn’t too bad but who knows on the day depending on the weather. No stiles or livestock and dogs are welcome but will need to be on lead in the park and on the roads.

After the walk and pie and peas we'll share some cakes and as Christine used to say probably some stories of the old days. We need at least one cake to put the candles in but all contributions welcome.

We can't guarantee the finish time. The meetup system means we have to put a finish time on the event but it depends on the pace of the group on the day.
Don't worry about Unpaid by your name, we don't use that system. £1 on the day please.
