First February Walk- Upper Denby 6.5 miles.

6.5 mile walk from Upper Denby to Cumberworth and Denby Dale and back with a little bit of everything! A pirate ship, a quaker house, a church, woods, streams, sheep, cows, adders! (Didn’t see any but there was a warning sign 😳), lots of stiles and some muddy bits so please come prepared. Some ups and downs but nothing too steep really.

Starting at The George, 114 Denby Ln, Upper Denby, Huddersfield HD8 8UE car park for a prompt set off at 10:45am. Please car share if possible. The George has a car park to the rear but please leave some spaces free and only park there if you’re going for a drink after the walk. You can also park on the roads nearby in the village.
Dogs are welcome but will need to be on lead near livestock. Please be aware there are lots of stiles though but im sure we’ll manage to get any doggies over them fine.

We will be going in the George after for a drink and they are known for their homemade steak pie and peas (veggie ones available too) but they only have a few in so you may need to ring and pre-order to guarantee getting one or take your chances on the day. They are £12.50. I’m not doing pie orders this time though sorry.

We can't guarantee the finish time. The meetup system means we have to put a finish time on the event but it depends on the pace of the group on the day.
Don't worry about Unpaid by your name, we don't use that system. £1 on the day please.
