Cragg Vale Coiner's Walk, a hilly 6 miles
Details
6 mile hilly walk “The Coiners” starting from opposite the Shoulder of Mutton heading to Daube Bridge, climbing steeply up to Bell Hole then levelling off across Bell House Moor to Lumb Stone where we will stop for lunch to admire the views. Dropping down to Cragg Vale to the Robin Hood Inn then climbing once more through Hollin Hey Woods up to the beacon then dropping back down into Mytholmroyd & finishing with refreshments in the Shoulder of Mutton.
Lunch on the tops if weather allows, but there is the option of a pub stop half way at the Robin hood Inn if the weather isn't good.
There are some quite steep slopes which some may find challenging but these will be taken at a steady pace with plenty of stops when needed, walking poles are recommended as some paths were muddy and slippy on the recce.
Please wear suitable clothing, good walking boots & bring a packed lunch.
Meet 11.00 for a prompt 11.15 start
