Mountain Biking at Ashton Court and Leigh Woods near Bristol

Details
Meet outside Ashton Court Golf Course café (there's a big car park there, cost is £4 for the for 5 hours & £2.50 for 2 hours - note the recent increase)
We can do the Ashton Court trail first and then go down to Leigh Woods.
All standards and bikes are welcome (excluding road/racing bikes), gravel bikes or hybrid bikes with the wider wheels and front suspension, gravel bikes or mountain bikes are recommended though.
The trails are not as challenging as the Verderers intermediate trail at Cannop in the Forest of Dean but there are some nice technical bits with lots of turns and a few bumps and drops. We can go around the circuits once or twice depending on time and how individuals feel at the end of the ride. There are a couple of Red grade skills sections to try out too if you like.
Bikes and helmets can be hired from Ashton Court if you don't have one, it will be essential to have a helmet.
See http://www.pedalprogression.com/
- I recommend hiring a bike for at least 3 hours = £24. Helmet hire = £4. (Bike hire includes helmet hire for free). We'll go around the trails with short breaks or no breaks between sections, if hiring a bike, book it from 10:30am and not earlier.
The trails are pretty well marked out so no one should get lost :-)
Also we can do each section as fast or slow as you like, waiting at the end of each section for the last person in the group to catch up.
Alternately if we have more experienced riders who want to zip off, they can go at their own pace and we can then catch up at the end. There is a café for warm drinks and food afterwards :-) As always I will have a first aid kit with me but would rather not need to use it.
By taking part in this we all do so at our own risk and we each take on responsibility for our own safety and any injuries if we fall off.
