What we’re about
Whether you're a British expat, have some British heritage somewhere in there or just like listening to British people discuss just about anything, then you qualify!
Our focus will be getting fun, British loving people together to attend 'get togethers' at pubs, restaurants, tea rooms, day trips or themed parties and events that highlight British culture and history. Our focus is to have fun, make new friends and support each other as caring and supportive community members. Do you have an even better idea? Fantastic! We're all ears.
Some places will need a firm head count before attending, so please reply to our events ASAP and always let us know if something comes up and you can't make it! Thank you in advance.
Please note we will follow local and state guidelines for "groups" pertaining to COVID 19. We leave it to you to use your best discretion and common-sense practices recommended by the CDC to prevent the spread of COVID 19. We believe in order to protect peoples privacy and medical information, COVID 19 vaccinations are not required to be a part of this club.
Dues of $5 will be collected on your first attended event and lasts till the end of the year.
Cheers!

🥃HAPPY HOUR & CANDLELIGHT YIN YOGA!!! 🧘🏻♀️
Location not specified yetIt CAN be done! How do I know you ask?! I just did this little duo with some friends last week and I’m hooked! Good conversation, apps and a cocktail followed by gentle candlelight yin yoga with a sound bath…. Truly a beautiful way to reset after the buzz of the holidays.
We will meet FIRSTLYat THE VIG in Dana Park located in Mesa. They have a great happy hour with heated seating outdoors in comfy patio sofas and chairs. Bring a little blankie to put over your knees if you run cold.
We will then go a few miles north on Val Vista to YOGA PULSE STUDIO. It is highly recommended to go onto the mind/body app or website down below to sign up for the class, sign the waiver and pay ahead of time to secure your spot. (They have a new student discounted price btw!) BRING A MAT! If you don’t have one, maybe call and inquire if you can borrow or rent one. The gal that teaches the class is lovely and does very gentle poses that most anyone can do as long as you can get up and down off the floor. Modifications are always given as options.
Address and websites below!
I could see this duo becoming a regular thing for our group throughout the year. It’s an opportunity to socially connect with each other and promote a supportive and healing environment in these busy and challenging times.
See you at The VIG, followed by the mat ;-)
Cheers and Namaste!

_What is yin yoga?
Slow and passive: Yin yoga moves slowly, with poses held for much longer than in other styles of yoga.
Targets connective tissues: The long holds are designed to stretch and hydrate the deep connective tissues, rather than the muscles.
Meditation and mindfulness: The practice is deeply meditative, encouraging practitioners to focus on their breath and turn inward, helping to quiet the mind.
Uses props: Bolsters, blankets, and blocks are used to help the body relax into the poses with minimal effort.
Lower body focus: Classes often focus on the lower part of the body, such as the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, areas rich in connective tissue.
What is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where participants lie down and are immersed in sounds from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, which are played in a slow, deliberate pattern. The goal is to relax and reduce stress by letting go of tension and wandering thoughts through the use of resonant vibrations, not a structured melody or rhythm. While research is ongoing, proponents suggest potential benefits like stress reduction, improved sleep, and enhanced mental clarity.12 attendees
