### The Burnout Cycle (and How It Looks Different for Each Burnout Type)

Thursday at 12:00 PM PT
Burnout rarely shows up all at once. More often, it unfolds as a cycle—a pattern many of us move through repeatedly without realizing it.
In this session, we’ll take a closer look at the burnout cycle and how it can look different depending on how people tend to respond to stress.
We’ll explore three common burnout patterns:
Warrior burnout – pushing through exhaustion and taking on more responsibility
Fortress burnout – pulling back and protecting your energy when things feel overwhelming
Winging It burnout – cycling between bursts of productivity and periods of depletion
Many people recognize themselves in more than one pattern, and the goal isn’t to label ourselves. It’s simply to better understand the patterns that shape our energy.
The session will include:
A short teaching segment where I’ll walk through the burnout cycle and the three burnout patterns
A group discussion where we can reflect on how these patterns show up in real life
A brief reflection exercise where you’ll be invited to consider one small “permission slip” you might experiment with this week
I’ll be recording the teaching portion of the session so that I can share the educational content later with the broader community. The discussion portion will not be recorded, so people can feel comfortable sharing if they choose.
You’re welcome to participate in the discussion, listen quietly, or simply come to learn.
Sometimes the most meaningful shifts start with a simple realization:
Maybe it’s okay to do this differently.
Maybe it’s okay to be me.
