You know those days when you’re exhausted but can’t quite explain why — even though you didn’t do that much?
Chances are, you’ve been starring in a drama you didn’t realize you signed up for.
This week, we’re diving into The Drama Triangle — the classic psychological pattern that quietly fuels burnout, people-pleasing, and over-responsibility.
Meet the cast:

  • 🎭 The Rescuer – says yes when she means “hell no,” and calls it kindness.
  • 😩 The Victim – feels powerless and waits for someone else to fix it.
  • 😤 The Persecutor – tries to control everything to avoid disappointment (often disguised as “being efficient”).

These roles are sneaky. They masquerade as “helping,” “working hard,” or “just being nice.”
But underneath, they drain our energy like emotional vampires wearing good intentions.
💡 We’ll explore:

  • How these roles keep even the most self-aware women stuck in burnout loops.
  • The “healthy upgrades” that transform each role:
  • The Victim → The Creator (asks, “What can I choose here?”)
  • The Rescuer → The Coach (believes in others’ capacity instead of over-functioning)
  • The Persecutor → The Challenger (sets clear limits without shame or control)
  • How stepping off the triangle gives your nervous system its energy back — and makes boundaries feel like relief, not guilt.

Expect equal parts psychology, humor, and nervous-system repair.
We’ll name our roles with compassion, laugh about how much we’ve overplayed them, and practice shifting from “drama” to “dynamic.”
No blame. No shame. Just awareness, laughter, and maybe a collective sigh of recognition.

Every Wednesday, 12–1 PM PT, join us for the Anti-Hustle Think Tank, a weekly live gathering hosted by Phoenix Rising Clinic’s Unbound program. Each session explores one deceptively simple idea, story, or experiment designed to help you:

  • Protect your energy (without feeling like the villain)
  • Set boundaries that actually hold
  • Recognize and exit energy-sucking dynamics
  • Reclaim joy, humor, and rest as acts of quiet rebellion

This isn’t a lecture, and you won’t get homework. Think of it as a cozy, sarcastic support lab — part therapy-adjacent conversation, part social experiment, all heart. You’ll leave each week with one small, doable shift and a sense that maybe you’re not as “too much” (or too tired) as you thought.
