Capital Ring Part 7 - Richmond Bridge to Osterley Lock

Details

We will be walking part 7 of the Capital Ring walk, from Richmond Bridge to Osterley Lock.
The Capital ring is a 78-mile circular walking route around London, split into 15 sections.
https://innerlondonramblers.org.uk/ideasforwalks/capital-ring-guides.html
Starting from Richmond station, we will walk along the Thames, past Richmond Lock, through Syon Park past Syon House and along the Grand Union Canal, finishing at Osterley Lock from where we can head onwards to a local Harvesters for some food and/or refreshments. The finish point is close to Boston Manor tube (Picadilly Line).
We will be walking for approximately two hours and this section of the capital ring is very flat. It can get muddy so bring suitable footwear and clothing if it looks like rain or has been raining.
I'll keep a watch on the weather and will cancel the event a day or two before if the weather looks to be very bad, but I'll plan to go ahead even in light rain. Keep an eye on the event chat which I'll update a day or two before to confirm we are going ahead.
Please note - we will aim to start off on the walk at 12pm. I will add my location tracking on Glympse so if you are late, we will not wait but you will be able to catch us up.
Please indicate in the comments if you would like to come to the pub afterwards and I can look to book a table if there are going to be a lot of us.
