Details
We will be walking part 8 of the Capital Ring walk, from Osterley Lock to Greenford.
The Capital ring is a 78-mile circular walking route around London, split into 15 sections.

Starting from just outside Boston Manor tube station (Piccadilly Line), we will walk along the towpath of the Grand Union Canal and the river Brent, past the Wharncliffe Viaduct, through Brent Lodge Park and Perivale Park and finish at Greenford station (Central Line). We will be walking for approximately two hours and the route is mainly flat. It can get muddy so bring suitable footwear and clothing if it looks like rain or has been raining.
I'll keep a watch on the weather and will cancel the event a day or two before if the weather looks to be very bad, but I'll plan to go ahead even in light rain. Keep an eye on the event chat which I'll update a day or two before to confirm we are going ahead.
Please note - unless there is a transport issue affecting everyone, we will aim to start off on the walk at 12:05pm. I will add my location tracking on Glympse so if you are late, we will not wait but you will be able to catch us up.
At the end of the walk I'm planning to head to a pub just up the road from Greenford tube station for a drink and/or bite to eat, let me know in the comments if you are up for this so I can book a table if there are a lot of us
