What we’re about
The Captain’s TechTalk is a community for parents who want practical, real-world help navigating technology with their kids. We focus on the things parents actually struggle with:
- How to set up parental controls on phones, tablets, Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PCs
- How to manage online gaming, voice chat, screen time, and in-game purchases
- What AI tools kids are using at school and at home, and how parents can guide safe and responsible use
- How to keep kids protected from scams, unsafe content, and digital “gray areas” they may not recognize
Each session is hands-on. I walk parents through settings, risks, and options step-by-step. We look at real devices, real apps, real examples—not theory.
This group is for any parent who wants:
- Clear explanations without technical jargon
- A judgment-free place to ask questions
- Guidance on creating healthy digital habits at home
- Help understanding the limits of modern parental-control systems and how to fill the gaps
Whether your goal is safety, boundaries, better communication, or simply knowing what your kids are actually doing online, you’ll get grounded advice and practical tools you can use the same day.
