The Casual Sci Fi Social Club is a space for people who enjoy science fiction and want to talk about it without the pressure of an academic critique. Whether you are a lifelong fan of the genre or someone who has only recently started picking up speculative fiction, this is a place to share what you have been reading and get recommendations from others. Our goal is simply to bring together a community of readers who appreciate imaginative stories and enjoy a good conversation.
We meet regularly to discuss a monthly book selection, but the vibe is very relaxed. We spend time catching up, grabbing a drink or a snack, and diving into the themes and worlds of the books we have chosen. There are no quizzes and no strict requirements for participation; if you read the book, great, and if you just want to hang out and hear what the group thought, you are welcome to join us too. We look forward to meeting you and seeing where our next book takes us.
