What we’re about
Rolling into my 10 year anniversary of the loss of my husband I have found the most inspiration, wisdom and encouragement in the lives of those that can relate.
The goal of this group would be to create a safe space to bring your story, to reach out or to take a hand, to share your journey with people who want to listen because they understand. A fun uplifting environment that can also embrace the varied emotions that come along this journey. No matter how new or old, whether you are happily remarried, rebuilt a life for yourself or wondering how that’s even possible, this could end up being a place to find a new best friend, gather helpful tips and suggestions to navigate as you rise or simply surround yourself with folks that “get it”. I promise the one thing you’ll get is inspired.
Through widowed friendships, Grief share, Widow conferences and the last three years of Counceling and hard work I have realized that the grief waits for you, the only way through it is through it and there’s nothing more valuable then Hope, aligned friendships and self control.
I hope you’ll join together here! I promise, inspiration, emotion, laughter, memory making moments and bonds you can’t imagine you’ve lived without up until now.
This is not a therapy group. It is a support community, a social circle and at times, a soft place to land.
Safety and integrity matter here.
- To maintain a respectful and authentic environment, we gently request that new members verify their widowed status (a redacted obituary or death certificate is fine). This helps ensure the group remains a haven—not a place for pickup lines or inappropriate approaches. We do not tolerate predatory behavior, and kindness is our baseline
Widowed you may be, alone you are not!
