Cena in Italiano

Ok, imagine this:

"You are in Italy. you and a group of friends had rented some cars and were driving from Rome to Palermo but somehow got lost and now you are in some small town where nobody speaks English and you are all starving! You have no choice but to check out one of the local establishments to eat as a group. The success of this meal, your very survival depends on your mastery of the Italian Language. And...."

Well the end of the story is you did just fine because while you were still in America you went to one of Il Tavolo Italiano's "Cena in Italiano"! We are teaming up with the folks at La Fontana to put this event together.

On Sunday, June 3rd at 6:00 PM we will converge on La Fontana (at least those of us who are available and brave enough to attend this event) for dinner. But this dinner will be a little different in that;

1. The food naturally will be good Italian food

2. It will be served in an Italian fashion

3. The menu's will be in Italian only

4. The music in the background will be in Italian

5. The waitstaff will be native Italian and instructed prior to our arrival that if anybody asks anything at all in English, their response is to be "Mi dispiace, non ho capito".

That's right, no matter how frustrating, no matter how slow speaking, no matter how hilarious, this will be an Italian Language dining event! We will be served in Italian only! This is not for the faint of heart because if you don't understand what you ordered then who knows what you will get because we will not be using English and neither will you! This will be a test of how you could do. The service and even our conversation will be in Italian. Are you up for it? Come and find out! And bring your sense of humor! (and possibly a dictionary LOL)

Cost is the customary $1.00 meetup fee for non card holding members and the cost of whatever you order.
