Shark Tooth/Fossil Hunt at Edisto Beach State Park

Details

Following the Robert Lunz Group September 4th Presentation on Exploring the World of Shark Tooth Hunting (presented by "Shark Tooth” Charles Shelton, Jr.), we found it fitting to have our own shark tooth hunt! Samantha Foreman, an Interpreter with the Edisto Beach State Park, will be leading our group along the beach in hunt for sharks teeth and fossils!

The guided walk will take one hour. I recommend bringing a snack/lunch as we will gather under one of the Edisto Beach State Park picnic shelters after for lunch. After lunch, feel free to explore the rest of Edisto Beach State Park with us!

Please meet at the white office building. We recommend bringing a reusable water bottle and wearing sun protection.

There is a fee to enter the park - $8/adult; $5 SC seniors; $4/ child age 6-15; Free for children 5 and younger
