Chicago and the Quantum Age

By accelerating the disruption assured in by Cloud and AI, quantum technology is poised to revolutionize the global economy by trillions of dollars over the next decade, solving complex problems previously beyond the reach of classical supercomputers. Chicago has established itself as the premier global hub for quantum innovation, establishing the Chicago Quantum Exchange and building the world's first industrial-scale quantum development at the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (IQMP) on the former South Works steel mill site. This 440-acre "Quantum Shore" campus serves as a specialized scale-up environment, anchored by PsiQuantum's construction of the nation’s first utility-scale, million-qubit fault-tolerant quantum computer, a partnership with DARPA, as well as collaboration with companies like IBM, Infleqtion, Diraq and Pasqal.
