Is Reality Real?
Details
Every first Sunday of the month, Ronald Green hosts a discussion attended by people from many countries. We discuss a range of philosophical issues that may include history, science, art, psychology, sociology, and more. The mix of international attendees and ideas from various countries makes for lively (and sometimes controversial) discussions.
The meetings are for the curious open to new ideas and willing to share. And also for those who just want to listen.
This time we will discuss what reality is and whether it can ever be reached. What we are asking, in fact, is whether Reality (with a capital 'R') exists as an objective fact (and what that could even mean), or is it reality (with a small 'r'), a subjective, possibly approximate element?
We all want to know what is real around us and in our lives. The question is whether our perception shapes our reality, or whether our perception is our reality.
So are there realities vs Reality, as there are truths vs. the Truth?
A real fundamental question!
Very much looking forward to having you joining us.
