Day Trip to the Strépy-Thieu Boat Lift

This time we're escaping Brussels for a relaxed day by one of Belgium's most impressive engineering landmarks.
Even though the boat lift building itself is currently closed to visitors, we'll explore the area, walk around the canal and set up our picnic in one of the quieter spots nearby.

As always, we're aiming for the **La Dolce Vita** version of a picnic, not the survivalist version.

Planned menu:
• Italian tramezzini
• Insalata di riso
• Prosecco
• Good company

We'll also bring:
• Folding gazebo for shade
• Karaoke boombox
• Picnic gear

The drive is about one hour each way, which means the fun starts before we arrive.

• Car karaoke
• Trivia games
• Road trip challenges
• Possibly another spicy quiz, following the legendary Girls Trip edition that revealed far more information than some participants intended to share

Food and fuel contribution will be discussed and shared among participants.
