The response to the first What Do I Actually Want? workshop was incredible, and one thing became very clear:
We needed more time.
More time to write.
More time to sit with the questions.
More time to follow the things that surprised us.
More time to connect and share.
So we're doing it again! This time with 90 minutes to slow down, go deeper, and give the questions the space they deserve.
And yes, if you joined me the first time, you are absolutely invited to come back.
You won't necessarily write the same answers twice.
In fact, that's part of what makes this work so interesting. You may hear something completely different when you ask yourself the same question again.
### You don't need to have attended any of my previous workshops to join us.
This isn't a sit-back-and-listen kind of workshop.
This is a working workshop.
Bring your favorite journal and pen, because we're going to slow down, get curious, and explore a question that sounds incredibly simple:
What do I actually want?
Not what should I want.
Not what makes the most sense.
Not what other people expect from me.
Not even necessarily what the version of me I've always been would choose.
What do I want now?
Because it's hard to create consistency around something you aren't actually clear you want.
We can spend a lot of time trying to make ourselves follow through—trying to be more disciplined, more motivated, more consistent—without ever stopping to ask:
Do I even want this?
And sometimes, we've been moving through life for so long...taking care of responsibilities, meeting expectations, chasing goals, doing what needs to be done...that we haven't stopped long enough to hear our own answer.
That's where journaling comes in.
Journaling gives us a way to get quiet enough to hear ourselves.
I'll teach a little.
You'll write a lot.
And I'll guide you through a series of questions designed to help you explore what you want, where some of your current wants came from, and what the person you're becoming might want next.
### Through guided journaling, we'll explore:
- Why it can be so hard to know what you actually want
- The difference between what you want and what you think you should want
- How the person you've been may be influencing what you believe is possible for you
- Which wants are actually yours and which ones you may have inherited from expectations, roles, or old stories
- What you might want if you didn't have to explain, justify, or defend it
- Who you're becoming and what that version of you might want next
You don't need to walk into this workshop knowing the answers.
That's the point.
Come with your journal, your pen, and a willingness to get curious.
You might be surprised by what you hear when you finally give yourself the space to ask.
And if you attended the first workshop, come again.
Bring the same journal if you still have it. Look at what you wrote the first time. Notice what has stayed with you—and then give yourself permission to answer the questions again.
Because sometimes the question hasn't changed.
But YOU have.
