Ever wanted to follow a sound through a foggy Cork alleyway at 9:00 PM without knowing if you’re heading toward a world-class saxophonist or a very vocal cat? Now’s your chance.
It’s Cork Jazz Weekend, which means the city is bursting with live tunes, vibrant energy, and way too many people pretending they fully understand complex syncopated time signatures. We’re combining two of Cork's favorite pastimes—drinking and wandering aimlessly—for an evening of pure musical improvisation.
The Strategy:
We don’t have a route. We don’t have a master plan. We just have ears, thirsty throats, and a collective commitment to head in whichever direction the trumpet solos lead us. We might start with smooth swing, end up at a late-night funk session, or accidentally spend an hour listening to a guy play the spoons outside a chip shop. As long as there’s music and a pint, we're in.
