Do you love Cormoran Strike and Robin Ellacott? Are you a huge fan of 'Robert Galbraith's' aka J.K Rowling's crime series? Well, you're in good company!
My friend Sally and I already run a successfully book club on Meetup, the Choose Your Own Book Book Club Meetup: https://www.meetup.com/choose-your-own-book-club/
We are also huge fans of the Strike crime series, and have decided to host a special meetup to celebrate the release of the latest installment, Book 7, The Running Grave.
This is a one-off event that will be held at the highly appropriate Sherlock Homes Pub in the city to discuss the latest Strike and Robin adventure.
Afterwards, we can head next door for a cocktail at the Dr Watson bar!
If you're also a fan of the series, please do come along. We've decided to host this event in early December, as it is quite a hefty tome (not that we would expect anything less from JKR!) to give everyone a bit of time to finish it.
This means that at this event, we are discussing a specific book and there WILL be spoilers about its contents. If you haven't finished the book by the time the meetup comes along, you're of course welcome to come but have to be ok with spoilers.
The pub has let us know they can do bar service on the night, so you will be able to purchase your own drinks and any finger food you would like without having to worry about splitting bills.
We are charging $5 for attendance, which will go towards our Meetup account fee for the year.
