Finding Purpose and Meaning in Your Working Life

The concept of IKIGAI became increasingly popular in recent years. It was mainly discussed in the context of longevity particularly in Japan. Combining the word Gai (something very valuable) with Iki meaning (everyday) life, IKIGAI is therefore referred to as "The Purpose of Life" or "The Reason Why You Get Up In The Morning". So basically, the term refers to a meaning full happy life.

In this workshop we want to find out how your personal working life can become meaningful and purposeful. To reach your IKIGAI you need to integrate the following dimensions of your working life:

• That which you love
• That which you are good at
• That which you can be paid for
• That which the world needs

Once you manage to integrate all four, you will reach your IKIGAI. However in order to get there you need to find out your starting position. For that purpose we have developed a UNIQUE ASSESSMENT TOOL to find out where you currently stand.

We will find out what IKIGAI LEADER/MANAGER TYPE your are! And this will tell us in which dimensions you are already well developed and where you need to improve to reach an integration?

To do this properly we also need to identify your current working situation. This will allow us to compare you personal IKIGAI type with the IKIGAI BUSINESS TYPE of your company/organisation.

The assessment will allow us to:

• Identify you personal strengths and challenges
• Show and tell you what Leader/Manager Type you are
• Evaluate how well this goes with your current profession/position
• Co-create a personal vision of your IKIGAI
• Assess the Business Type of your organisation
• Evaluate how well you fit into this environment
• Set targets to improve your professional life
• Develop a personal roadmap to reach your IKIGAI

That means that in our workshops we will address the individual and collective levels of IKIGAI. Deep routed reflections and creative development sessions will support the development of the vision for an integrated purpose- and meaningful workplace. We will evaluate the values and actions that can bring you closer to real meaning and purpose in your working life.

• Identifying the gaps between presence and the desired state
• Insights from understanding the reasons for your dominant Leader/Manager type
• Generating your specific individual development plan
• Highlighting the necessary steps to trigger the change process
• Creating and designing the transformation action
• Aligning individual development plans with the collective one at work
• Feedback on the organisational culture and value structure you're working in

ASSESSMENT: At the end of the RSVP closing time, you will be provided with an online link to the IKIGAI Assessment Tool (takes only 7 minutes)

The workshop fee includes refreshments in the breaks and lunch.

CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICY:
The event fee has to be paid at the RSVP closing time the latest. Places in the event can't be guaranteed otherwise. Cancellations of participation by email to office@bethechange.consulting before the RSVP closing time will be refunded in full minus a transaction fee of ZAR 50. No refund for later cancellations.
