First monthly meeting in Old Windmill pub

This is the first of a new series of monthly meetings planned following feedback from members. Meetings will be on the evening of the last Sunday of each month in the Old Windmill pub.
This Meetup will celebrate European Day of Languages (whose official date is the previous Thursday), an annual event supported and coordinated by the European Centre for Modern Languages (ECML).
ECML is run by the Council of Europe, Europe’s leading human rights organisation. It comprises 46 member states, including the United Kingdom.
European Day of Languages 2024 has the theme Languages for Peace.
The meeting will be in the Black Room, on the right as you enter the pub. Please support the pub by purchasing a drink. Any donation to help cover the Meetup cost would also be welcome.
Local parking costs about £1 per hour.
