United Nations Day Celebration

This event will celebrate United Nations Day which is on the previous Thursday.
Today the urgency for all countries to talk to each other has rarely been greater. The United Nations aims to maintain peace and security, justice, human rights and sustainable development.
The UN offers a place where nations can resolve their issues without war. It also runs many fundamental international agencies such as the World Food Programme and the World Health Organisation. It offers us hope for a better world.
Coventry has its own United Nations Association Branch.
The meeting will be in the Black Room, on the right as you enter the pub. Please support the pub by purchasing a drink. Any donation to help cover the Meetup cost would also be welcome.
Local parking costs about £1 per hour.
Further meetings will be organised on the evening of the last Sunday of each month in the Old Windmill pub.
