THIS MONTH’S TOPIC:
“Is Art Necessary?”

(Come at 6pm for some yummy nom noms.)

Notes from our most recent meetup:
Dinner was companionable nibbles: ham&cheese, PB&J, chips&salsa, etc.

  • Jenn Tranter talked about her goats being her “happy place”
  • Grace Dixon sang her “Declaration” song she wrote that morning
  • Michelle McClintock read “Rosebush” written by her mother
  • Idell Smith showed a beautiful seaside painting (one of her happy places)
  • Pam Green showed the progress she was making on a scarf for Marlowe (our stuffed cow mascot)
  • Theresa Clements passed around an art journal she made during a difficult time in her life

The Cow Room (a gathering of artists) meets at 7pm on the third Thursday of each month (come early for a companionable bite to eat).
The Cow Room yearns to nurture artists in a loving community as we create art, music, and stories that express Truth with beauty and excellence. Bring a poem, story, or essay, musical composition, or a work of visual art to share, expecting to receive loving, sincere, and constructive critique as we each hone our craft for the glory of Jesus and the good of our community. Through times of laughter, weeping, or awe-filled silence, we will grow as Christian artists in our love for Jesus, our love for each other, and our witness to our community, catching brief, present glimpses of Heaven’s future joys.
