Craft Of Writing - September 2024

Greetings to all who signed up for the Craft of Writing - the first meeting of the group is scheduled for September 8, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Distant Worlds Coffee House in the Roosevelt neighborhood of Seattle.

If you know the pleasure and the pain of being hooked on the written word this is a chance to meet with others who feel the same pangs. This is a meeting of writers where we will speak about writing. Do you want to crow? Do you want to commiserate? Do you want to see whose word count is highest? Then please come. Regardless of whether you're a poet, novelist, crossword constructor, ghost writer, short story wonk, limerick aficionado, ghost of a writer, dramatist, biographer, journaler, journalist, or a verbose tattoo artist, this may be a chance to meet your tribe, get inspired about the craft, and then set the world alight with your art.

The loose agenda for the meeting - a round of introductions, a round of "what I'm working on, what my enthusiasms are, what my roadblocks are, what I'm reading" and, if time allows, a round of clacking away at your laptop or scribbling in your notebook, inspired by the camaraderie.

Distant Worlds is a geeky, LGBTQ-friendly coffee shop with an array of drinkables and vegan/vegetarian baked goods.
