Mathematical Minds - FREE

The goal of this event is to foster mathematical thinking and generate the next generation of independent mathematicians.

This event is divided into two segments:

The first segment is a warm-up round in which we shall solve high school maths problems. Feel free to bring your own problems and books! You may also want to bring a scientific calculator.

The second segment is an introduction to mathematical logic and proof-writing. The problems solved in this segment will be of a different nature.

An online group will also be created for mathematical discussions and to keep a record of whatever was covered. This is essential as mathematics is a discipline that continually builds upon the knowledge accumulated so far.

Make sure to bring pens and a notebook (or plenty of A4 paper, whichever you prefer).
