We are delighted to host Guy Barros from Hashicorp who will give us a brief overview on Hashicorp Boundary and Pi from Capgemini who will be discussing Container image hardening.

The event will be held via Microsoft Teams and there will be a chance to pose questions to the speakers after the presentations.

18:05 - What's new in Hashicorp Boundary v0.1.8

Boundary is the brand new Privileged Access Management solution from Hashicorp. In this session, we will look at the vision of Boundary and what we can play with today and what improvements have been made since version v0.1.0

Guy is a Senior Solution Engineer at Hashicorp, who effectively transitioned from the land of legacy (SAP Consultant) to Multi-Cloud and is on a mission to prove that Digital Transformation is more than just a Buzzword.
he is a Nomad fanatic and what he lacks in documentation he makes ups in availability, collaboration and empathy.

18:30(ish) Thinking inside the box; Container image hardening

The goal of this talk is to demystify the term 'image hardening' and provide a practical guide to securing your containers. By the end of the talk, all attendees should be able to go back to your containers and implement concrete, best-practice security features to minimise your attack surface and create more robust images.

Pi Unnerup is a Capgemini platform engineer with a record of containerised cloud solutions. She has worked across a range of high compliance projects, including secure Kubernetes deployments, end-to-end CI/CD life cycles and critical national infrastructure. Additionally, she tries to give back to the community by contributing to open-source projects and delivering talks at KubeCon, CloudNative and Jax London.
