AI is more than just a buzzword—it is a part of our everyday lives. From voice assistants like Siri to personalised recommendations on YouTube and Spotify, AI is transforming how we live and interact with the world. In this workshop, students will first explore the foundational principles of AI through real-world examples and thoughtfully designed interactive games. The workshop will then culminate in a challenge where students apply their creativity and logic to design an AI assistant that tackles an everyday task.

  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Recommended Age: 9 - 14 years old

  • Workshop Fee: $30 per participant
  • All materials provided for children

AI Knowledge & Concepts:

  • AI Definition: Gain a foundational understanding of AI and identify how it is integrated into everyday technologies
  • AI Applications: Explore the present capabilities of AI, while imagining future possibilities for AI-driven technology in daily life
  • AI Personality & Interaction: Understand how AI systems can be designed to interact with users in ways that influence their experience, including natural language processing and decision-making patterns
  • AI vs. Algorithm: Learn to distinguish between simple rule-based algorithms and more adaptive AI solutions, understanding when each is appropriate for specific tasks
  • Real-World AI Applications: Understand the key components involved in building an AI assistant by solving real world problems
  • AI Ethics: Reflect on the ethical implications of AI technologies, such as fairness, privacy and the role of human responsibility in decision-making.
