Love, Actually: Curious Krewe - April 2026 Gathering
Details
At a Curious Krewe, we believe most of us are walking around wanting the same thing: deep, real, safe connection...friendships that don’t require pretending, and conversations that don’t turn into a fight. The problem is…those spaces are rare. So we built one in the The Curious Krewe.
At this gathering, we’re getting curious about love by asking: “How do you know when you love someone, and what does love look like in action for you?” Love isn’t just a feeling you have; it’s something you practice. Sometimes it looks like showing up, staying honest, setting a boundary, making amends, cooking the meal, sending the text, holding the silence, telling the truth, or choosing patience when you’d rather choose petty. Bring an example of love-in-action you’ve received, given, or are still learning. We’ll compare notes, keep it human, and see what kind of love gets built when we talk about it out loud.
As we do at every gathering, we’ll break into smaller groups, with one person sharing their own evolving take on the question first. When they finish, we’ll open the conversation with curious questions and thoughtful dialogue—questions before comments, wondering before debating. Everyone will get a chance to share, but there’s no pressure. Come ready to listen well, laugh a little, and maybe leave with a clearer picture of what love looks like on the ground.

***
- This is how a typical CK Gathering looks:
- We begin gathering at 6 pm to give folks time to get drinks and food and settle in.
- At 6:30 pm, we start our discussions, and each person takes time to respond to the question of the gathering (which we all voted on after the last gathering). When the speaker says they are finished, the group is welcome to respond thoughtfully with affirmations or questions. (Not corrections or debates).
- We wrap up discussions a little before 8 pm and conclude the gathering with a few parting words and details about the next gathering.
- If you wish to continue your conversation or start a whole new one, everyone is free to stay as long as they wish.
