Friend Request: Curious Krewe - November 2026 Gathering
Details
This is the Curious Krewe's main monthly gathering...the one built around a single honest question that we sit with together. It tends to go a little deeper than most conversations you'll have this week. People share real things here. That's what makes it worth showing up to.
This month, we’re getting curious about how friendship actually happens once we’re grown:
“Why does making friends as an adult feel so hard? What’s actually worked for you?”
Maybe you just moved here and you’re starting from scratch. Maybe you’ve lived here forever and somehow your circle got smaller without you noticing. Or maybe you’ve always been a little awkward at this part, and you’re wondering how everyone else seems to make it look easy. Bring whatever you’ve got... a friendship that started in an unlikely place, a strategy that flopped, or just the honest truth that this is harder than anyone told you. Let’s be curious, together!
We hold that space together through what we call the Curious Code:
- Respect beats being right … always
- Make room for fun … it helps us connect
- Listen first ... more than you talk
- Respond with curiosity … questions before comments
- Gather the good … share what you learned
Here's how the evening flows:
- Doors open at 6:00 pm... plenty of time to grab food and a drink, find a seat, and settle in.
- At 6:30 pm we move into the discussion. You'll sit at a table with a small group... no more than six people... and together you'll explore the question of the evening. Everyone is welcome to share as much or as little as feels right. No pressure to perform or have it all figured out. Curious questions and honest listening are the whole game.
- We wrap up around 8 pm with a few closing words and a look ahead to the next gathering.
- Want to keep talking? Stay as long as you like.

Judgment? Nope.
Curious and honest people? Absolutely.
This month's question was chosen by the community at our last gathering. Don't love it? You'll get a vote on next month's. Or better yet, send us a curious question you have that we could discuss!
Let's be curious, together!
