About us
Are you the kind of person who has a reading list longer than your arm — full of books you genuinely want to read — but keeps getting told what to read by book clubs instead?
Same.
The Curious Readers Club is a monthly English-language gathering, built on one simple idea: you read what you want, and you tell us why we should read it too.
No assigned books. No mandatory reading. No pressure to have finished anything. Just show up with a book, essay, article, or podcast you’ve loved lately — give us a few minutes on what it’s about and why it stayed with you — and leave with a list of things you actually want to explore.
Whether you read every day, read very slowly, stopped reading for months, or have an endless “to be read” list — you are welcome here.
Already part of another book club? Perfect — bring something you read there. We love a good cross-club recommendation.
The only rule? We present in English. All language-levels are welcome. Your book doesn’t have to be in English — but the conversation is. Whether you’re an expat, a Francophone who wants to practice, or someone who just loves talking about ideas, you’re in the right place.
We’re a small, relaxed group meeting over coffee, and the club is designed to feel warm, open-minded, and pressure-free. No quiz, no academic analysis required, no need to be an expert reader, no homework, no judgment if you only got halfway through something. Just curiosity, kindness, and the pleasure of sharing stories and ideas with others.
Come as you are. Bring your favourite book. We’ll bring ours.
