Welcome to the first gathering of The Curious Table!
We're getting together at Rock Town Distillery for some drinks, good conversation, and a chance to meet people who enjoy thinking about life's bigger questions.
For our first meetup, I thought we'd start with AI and consciousness. Can AI actually think? Could it ever be conscious? And for that matter, what exactly is consciousness in the first place?
Those are just starting points. There's no formal agenda, and I'm perfectly happy to see where the conversation takes us. The whole point is to bring together curious people, exchange ideas, and hopefully make a few friends in the process.
A few details:
- When: Tuesday, December 8, 5:30–7:30 PM
- Where: Rock Town Distillery, 1201 Main Street, Little Rock
- What to bring: Just yourself and a little curiosity. No preparation or expertise needed.
- Drinks: Everyone can purchase their own drinks. Drinking is entirely optional.
- Finding us: I'll post an update here before the event with details about where we're sitting. Feel free to message me if you have trouble finding the group.
Come when you can, leave when you need to. And if you're coming alone and don't know anyone, don't worry — that's pretty much why I'm starting this group!
