What we’re about
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Assalamu Alaikum,
Ever wish there was one single place for all our sisters and brothers to find the amazing Islamic events, lectures, and community gatherings happening across the sprawling Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex (DFW)?
Our vision is to build that place. This group is the first step toward creating a vibrant, centralized online hub—a digital newspaper and community platform—that connects our community across DFW, making it effortless for all of us to find events, share news, and build stronger bonds, Insha'Allah.
What This Group Offers You Right Now
This Meetup page serves as your go-to community calendar. Every day, I manually find and post events from the websites of various Masajid, Islamic centers, and community organizations across DFW, so you don't have to. Think of this as your one-stop shop for staying informed, making your life a bit easier.
A Welcoming Space for All Our Sisters and Brothers
This is a community for everyone—men, women, families, and individuals. We are passionately committed to building an inclusive platform that serves every single one of our brothers and sisters in the DFW area, regardless of ethnicity, age, or background.
Our core mission is to foster unity and connection, creating a sense of belonging and togetherness, guided by the timeless Islamic principles of diversity, openness, and adherence to the Quran and Sunna.
Join the Mission, Become a Founder!
This is a ground-floor opportunity to build something lasting and beneficial for our community. To bring our full vision to life, we are looking for motivated brothers and sisters to join our founding team as volunteers.
As a volunteer committing 2-4 hours per week, you’ll gain professional skills, hands-on event experience, a larger community network, and a stronger resume—all while making a meaningful impact, Insha’Allah.
We are specifically looking for individuals with experience in:
- Non-Profit Formation: Legal, financial planning, and fundraising.
- Tech & Web Development: Software engineering, web design, and platform hosting.
- Content & Journalism: Helping us gather, verify, and post news and event information.
While our primary focus is online, we will occasionally host halal meetups for our volunteer team to strategize, collaborate, and bring this vision to life together.
Ready to Get Involved?
If you are serious about volunteering your time and talent to this exciting and rewarding project, I would love to hear from you.
Please email me directly at **iaebeid@gmail.com** to discuss how you can contribute to building our community's future in DFW.
P.S.
The events posted here are for your information, and you don't have to attend or RSVP unless it's a volunteer meeting. For each event, it will appear as though I am the host, but of course, that is not accurate. I am just the one posting the event information.
